About Jane Eyre Entertainment Hub
Jane Eyre Entertainment Hub is a small online magazine about the hours we spend off the clock. It covers the screen in the corner of the living room, the games on the console, the films we argue about choosing, the parties we throw and the home that has to survive all of it. Alongside those, you will find pieces on travel, food, household services and the occasional business topic that touches everyday life.
What you will find here
- Entertainment: internet TV, home viewing set-ups, sound, and the habits of people who watch from very different places.
- Movies: projectors, film nights, snacks and the practical side of watching together.
- Games: building strategies, team play and the communities around them.
- Household: comfort, lighting, glazing, cooling, plumbing and the trades that keep a home running.
- Travel, Hobby and Business: trips, flowers for big occasions, food abroad and a handful of work-related reads.
If you are new, the Good Reads page is a friendly place to start, and one fresh piece that shows our style well is how to host a movie night people remember.
The people behind the pages
Four regular writers share the work under pen names. We use them since a guide ought to be judged on its own merits, and since none of us wants to turn a guide about popcorn into a personal brand.
- Fennimore looks after screens, sound and anything with an input menu.
- Clementia handles parties, food and the travel shelf.
- Wendeline writes about home comfort and household services.
- Corwin covers games and business, and keeps an eye on the older archive.
Not one of the four has formal qualifications in these subjects. We are enthusiasts who read carefully, try the safe parts at home and say plainly when something should be left to a qualified person.
How we write
Every article aims to answer a real question in the order a reader would need the answers. We avoid invented figures, made-up quotes and borrowed authority. Wherever health, money, law or safety comes up, our wording stays general and points you to people who can advise properly. Some articles mention or link to businesses and services; such a mention reflects the topic at hand and should not be read as our personal seal of approval. Readers should always make their own checks before buying or booking anything.
You can read more about our working rhythm on The Songbook Crew, and about how we handle mistakes on Getting It Right.
Keeping things current
Technology changes, rules change and sometimes we simply get things wrong. Older articles are revisited when we notice they have aged, and the date on a page tells you when it was first published. Spot a line that has stopped being true? Tell us, and it gets fixed instead of quietly gathering dust.
Say hello
Questions, fixes and wishes for new topics all go to one inbox, and Say Hello lists what to put in your note so the reply is useful.

At a glance
The magazine in a few lines
Plain facts about what this site is and how it is run.
Seven shelves: Entertainment, Movies, Games, Household, Travel, Hobby and Business.
Fennimore, Clementia, Wendeline and Corwin are pen names, and every draft passes through two of them.
Pages are pre-built files: no logins, no comment threads and no tracking code.
Articles that mention businesses do so for context; a mention is not an endorsement.
Mistakes are corrected openly, with a short note on the page when something changes.

Lines the team keeps repeating
Things said so often in our planning chats that they ended up written on the board.
“If a step needs two people, say so before anyone lifts anything.” — Fennimore
“Nobody remembers the napkins. Everybody remembers a host who sat down and laughed.” — Clementia
“Check the manual first, then check our guide against it.” — Wendeline
“A good game guide explains why a move works, not only which buttons to press.” — Corwin
“When we are not sure, we say we are not sure.” — the whole team
