Stage door notice
Say Hello
We like hearing from readers. Several guides on this site began life as one curious reader email: a question about a stubborn screen smudge, a request for a movie night that works with toddlers, a puzzled note about a soundbar menu. If something on the site helped, confused or annoyed you, tell us.
The quickest way to reach us
All messages come to us by email, at reach@janeeyremusic.com. Filling in the little form here starts a draft in your usual mail app, so you can read and change every word before anything is sent.
There is no phone line, postal address or office to visit. Four pen names share this inbox, and writing back by email lets us give each question proper thought.
What we can help with
- Questions about an article. If a step confused you or your kit behaved differently, we will try to explain or point you in the right direction.
- Corrections. Spotted an error or something that has gone out of date? See Getting It Right for how we handle those.
- Topic ideas. Tell us what you would like covered, from party planning to keeping a living room cool in summer.
- General feedback. Kind words are welcome, and so is honest criticism.
What we cannot do
We are not connected to the businesses, services or products mentioned in our articles, so we cannot help with orders, bookings, refunds, accounts or technical support for them. Please contact those companies directly. We also cannot give personal legal, financial, medical or safety advice, or inspect anything in your home.
Making your note easy to answer
Four small details help us answer you well:
- Which article you mean, by its title or a copied link.
- What you tried, and what happened instead of what you expected.
- For screens and sound, the type of device involved, without serial numbers.
- Whether your question may reappear, without your name, in a later article.
Please never send passwords, account numbers or other sensitive information. We do not need them and do not want to store them.
When to expect a reply
Each email gets read by one of us, and most get an answer inside a few days. Correction reports can take a little longer, because we check the fix carefully before changing a page. If your note is about something urgent, such as a safety concern with a device, contact the manufacturer or a qualified professional first.
What happens to your email
Your address is used for the reply and nothing else, and old threads do not linger. Details are on Privacy & Data. Curious who will open your email? The About page introduces the team.
Before you write
Questions people ask about getting in touch
Quick answers that save a round of emails.
How long does a reply usually take?
Most emails get an answer within a few days. Reports of errors may wait a little longer while we confirm the right fix.
Could you help with an order from a business in one of your articles?
We are not connected to the businesses in our articles, so orders, bookings, refunds and accounts are best raised with them directly.
Do suggested topics ever become articles?
We keep every suggestion on our shared list. Popular or useful ideas often turn into articles, though we cannot promise a date.
Is it safe to send details about my set-up?
Describing your devices and room is helpful. Please leave out serial numbers, passwords and account details; we never need them.
